CURRICULUM
Spelling
Visit http://www.spellingcity.com/Arroyo4th/ to find some fun ways to practice previous spelling words.
We will alternate spelling and word study each week.

There will be no vocab or spelling this week because of the holiday.

Math
This week we will be covering mode, median, range, and outliers. We will be also working with two different types of graphs: bar graphs and pictographs.

Language Arts

We will continue analyzing cause and effect in the plot of a story.

During writing, we are drafting a second narrative. Our last story was a personal narrative, but this is a fantasy narrative. We are also teaching the "somebody wanted but so" strategy for writing short literary summaries.

Science
During science, we are learning about the changes in the earth.

Physical Education
Every Friday we will have PE after lunch. Please wear shoes suitable for running.

IMPORTANT DATES
9/16/10-9/24/10 are Parent/teacher conferences. Please fill out your request as soon as possible.
